The greatest distance roller skiing in 12 hours is 265.47 km (164.95 mi) and was achieved by Martin Furrer (Switzerland) in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, on 31 July 2021.


Martin is an athlete with a storied international career in cross country skiing. During the Covid-19 pandemic, competitions were postponed and canceled. This inspired Martin to train for something new and different. He set this distance using a section of a biathlon track called the Roland Arena, completing just over 577 laps and maintaining an average speed of 22.3 km/hr. He used a pair of Swenor Equipe R2 Ceramic Rollerskis.
