Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series which features the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show dei Record.

In this week’s episode, Canadian Peter Czerwinski (aka ‘Furious Pete’) – who is a professional competitive speed eater, fitness enthusiast, YouTube vlogger and multiple Guinness World Records title holder – attempts to break his own record for the Fastest time to eat a 12’’ pizza.

Furious Pete goes up against two challengers. They were selected during an earlier section of the programme called ‘The Record Box’, which sees people attempting records in shopping malls in order to qualify for the show.

They all gave it their best shot, maintaining table manners at all times by using a knife and fork, but Czerwinski won the challenge in an incredible 32.28 seconds and bettered his previous record by almost 10 seconds.

However, since filming Lo Show dei Record, Kelvin Medina from the Philippines has beaten Furious Pete’s record, consuming a pizza in a rapid 23.62 seconds.

Peter Czerwinski still retains a number of speed eating Guinness World Records titles including: Most hamburgers eaten in one minute (4), Fastest time to eat 15 Ferrero Rocher® (2 min 22 sec), Most creme eggs eaten in one minute (6) and Fastest time to eat a bowl of pasta (41 sec).
