Tallest brussel sprout plant

The tallest brussel sprout plant is 3.35 metres (10 ft 11.8 in) and was grown by Dickerson Philip (USA) in Hawthorne, California, USA, on 18 July 2022.

Phillip decided to embark on what he called "adventure" when he and his family realized that one of their "normal" brussel sprout plants began to far outgrow the others.

What began as an attempt to simply see how tall this plant could get, quickly became a realization that a Guinness World Records title could be possible to be achieved.

Caring for the plant and engaging with his family on something so joyful was a source of happiness during the difficult pandemic years.

When Phillip first submitted the application to GWR, the plant was measuring 2.9 meters.

Within the 14 weeks, while he and his family were waiting to move on to the next phase in the process, the plant continued to grow until the date of the official measurement, when it measured 3.35 meters!

According to the specialist present at the attempt, the plant is not only big but very healthy!
