In the lead-up to the release of The Smurfs Movie in July 2025, Paramount Pictures offered to support the town's long-standing dream, launching a local campaign that reignited community spirit — even prompting the mayor to issue a humorous decree banning bar service to Smurfs between 5 and 7 p.m. to maximise participation.
