Considered to be one of the toughest running races in the world, the Marathon des Sables is a six-stage ultradistance event that covers 252 kilometres (156 miles) of the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Rachid El Morabity claimed a record-equalling 10th victory on 20 April 2024, with a total race time of 20:42:19 – 25 seconds ahead of his brother, Mohamed.
