In second place was the Democratic Republic of Congo, with 133,610,000 hectares (515,871 miles²), representing 58.9% of the country's area. Brazil is the most forested country in terms of actual land area covered by forest; however, the Cook Islands are the most forested country in terms of percentage of the country as a whole.
