Ronnie O’Sullivan extended his record for the most maximum breaks at the 2025 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters on 15 August, making two in two hours against Chris Wakelin. This was the first time that anyone had hit two 147s in the same session. Aged 49 years 253 days, “the Rocket” also became the oldest player to compile a 147 break.
