The longest television interview is 26 hours and 4 seconds and was achieved by Tom Conroy (New Zealand) and Tim Shadbolt (New Zealand) on the set of CUE Television, Invercargill, New Zealand from 28-29 April 2012. Tom Conroy is the owner and managing director of CUE Television and Tim Shadbolt is the mayor of Invercargill and one of New Zealand's best known faces. The interview began just after midday on the Saturday and ended just after 2pm on the Sunday. They didn't have a break for the first four hours then kept breaks in the bank after that. At the end they had about 20 minutes of break unused. The event raised money for the St John Ambulance charity
