The longest pasteli was a pistachio variety which measured 40 m (131 ft 2.80 in) in length and 20 cm (7 in) in width, which was created by a team of chefs in an event organised by the Third Aegina Fistiki Festival (Greece), in Aegina, Greece, on 18 September 2011.
This attempt was organised by the Municipality of Aegina in Greece during an annual festival 'Third Aegina Fistiki Festival'.
The pasteli was placed into a specially designed mould and allowed to cool before it was broken into pieces and distributed to members of the public during the fesitival.
The pasteli contained pistachio, honey, sugar and water which was mixed over a medium heat in pans before being placed in the mould.
