The longest competitive ski jump (female) is 236 metres (774 feet 3 inches), achieved by Nika Prevc (Slovenia) in Vikersund, Norway, on 14 March 2025.

Prevc set a new world record during a training round of the Flying Hill competition at the Vikersundbakken ski flying hill. Nika’s brothers Peter and Domen have both set world records for the longest men’s ski jump.

The women’s ski jump world record has been broken six times since the FIS voted in 2022 to allow women to compete in ski flying events – which take place on larger hills, allowing athletes to generate more speed on take-off and jump far greater distances.
