The largest sky drawing by an aircraft display team measured 7,673,845 m² (82,667,200 ft²) and was achieved by the Paddy Power Skytypers display team above the Medinah Country Club, in Medinah, Illinois, USA, on 30 September 2012.
The drawing measured 22,907 m (75,152 ft) in length and 335 m (1,100 ft) in height, the planes used were travelling at a speed of 169 kmh (105 mph) and it took 8 min 8 secs to complete the drawing.
The picture was a message which spelt out the names of the European team for the 2012 Ryder Cup, and that of Seve Ballesteros, the late world No. 1 to whom the team dedicated their victory:
