Largest singing lesson

The largest singing lesson consists of 13,944 participants and was achieved by Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, Ricky Kej and Prof. Achyuta Samanta in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, India on 4 July 2024.

The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), was founded in 1993 by Prof. Achyuta Samanta as a residential tribal school. It is a philanthropic organization providing education and boarding to the under-privileged tribal section of society. KISS, home to 30,000 indigenous children, organized this event to underscore the vital role indigenous communities play as custodians of the climate.

Ricky Kej is an Indian-American music composer and environmentalist and a three-time Grammy Award winner. He has performed at concerts all over the world including the United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva. In 2023, Ricky Kej was announced as a UN “Goodwill Ambassador".
