The largest serving of fried chicken weighed 1,667.301 kg (3,675 lb 12 oz) and was achieved by Karafesu Project Council (Japan) in Nakatsu, Oita, Japan, on 15 September 2019.
A total of 18 vendors from Nakatsu as well as neighboring cities participated in the attempt. The frying took place between 6AM and 10AM at the 12th annual Karaage Festival.
