Largest collection of airline boarding passes

The largest collection of airline boarding passes belongs to K. Ullas Kamath (India) and consists of 3,030 passes as verified in Bangalore, India, on 15 August, 2014.

Mr. Kamath's collection has been steadily growing for the past 15 years. His collection comprises 35 different airlines, with his favourite being Jet Airways of India (with a total of 1,896 flights). His favourite seat is 2A, a business class window seat, of which he happens to have tickets for 1,034 flights. Over the 15 year period, he averages 202 flights a year.

Back in August of 2013, a friend studying in the US pointed out to Mr. Kamath that his collection (2,900) beat the current record at that point in time (1,020). When he checked again in December, the record had been broken and stood at 1,764 flight passes. When he checked the next time, the record was held by João Gilberto Vaz of Brazil and consisted of 2,558 passes! This compelled him to "apply for the GWR title immediately." "It is like a dream come true" quoted the frequent flier.
