The circus clown with the largest boots was Coco (Latvia) (b. Nicolai Poliakoff), who took a size UK58 (US 58½).
In 1929 he joined the Bertram Mills' Circus (UK), and apart from a gap when he served in the British army during World War II, he returned to work with them afterwards.
