The largest Buddhist temple in the world is Borobudur, near Yogyakarta in central Java, Indonesia, built between 750 and 842 CE, under the Śailendra Dynasty. The 60,000-m³ (2,118,880-cu-ft) stone structure is 34.5 m (113 ft) tall and its base measures 123 m2 (1,324 sq ft).

In 1991, Borobudur was added to UNESCO's World Heritage Site list.
