The fastest time to hop one mile on one leg is 18 minutes and 25 seconds and was achieved by Peter Nestler (USA) at the Highland Locals Schools track, in Medina, Ohio, USA on 29 May 2014.
Peter has also held the previous Guinness World Records titles: the fastest mile hopping on one leg and jumping rope, the most bum skips in 30 seconds, the most rope skips while keeping a football in the air with the feet in one minute, the most skips in 30 seconds - one foot, the most skips of a rope wearing swim fins in five minutes and the most skips on a unicycle in one minute.
