The fastest average time to solve a 5x5x5 rotating puzzle cube is 34.31 seconds, achieved by Tymon Kolasiński (Poland) at the WCA World Championship 2025 event in Seattle, Washington, USA, on 5 July 2025.
Kolasiński recorded solve times of 36.46, (36.67), (31.67), 33.11 and 33.36 seconds, with the fastest and slowest times discounted from the average as per World Cube Association (WCA) rules.
He surpassed the previous mark of 34.76 seconds, which was set by Max Park at the Rubik’s WCA North American Championship 2024 event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, on 19 July 2024.
