Best-selling videogame series

Mario Mario sits atop a gaming empire. The combined sales of all of Nintendo's Mario series games and spin-offs have now reached at least 893.4 million units, as of 10 June 2025, with 15.5 million contributed by 2023's Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This isn't counting sales from the 2025 Switch 2 launch title Mario Kart World, which numbers have not yet been revealed.

Mario's closest contender is the Tetris series, but it's not that close a race given Tetris's comparatively slim 520-million-unit sales.
