Tallest teenager ever (female)

The tallest female under the age of 18 years ever recorded is Anna Haining Swan (Canada, b. 6 August 1846; d. 5 August 1888), who grew until she was 17, when she reached 241.3 cm (7 ft 11 in). By age 4, Anna was said to have stood 137.16 cm (4 ft 6 in) tall and weighed 42.64 kg (94 lb). At age 6, she was reportedly taller than her 165.1-cm (5-ft 5-in) mother. On 17 June 1871, Anna married Martin van Buren Bates, who stood 236.22 cm (7 ft 9 in) tall. Anna is widely reported to have weighed 8.16 kg (18 lb) at birth, but at that time she would have been weighed on Barnyard scales, which were not known for their accuracy. In addition to this, a close relative of Anna's kept a diary, where the number denoting Anna’s birth weight is reported to have looked more like 13 or 15 lb, than 18 lb. Unfortunately, the diary was destroyed in a house fire.
