The National Basketball Association (NBA) record for most assists in one quarter is 14 by Steve Blake (USA) of the Portland Trail Blazers (USA) in the first quarter of a game against the Los Angeles Clippers (USA) on 22 February 2009. Blake matched the mark set by John Lucas (USA) of the San Antonio Spurs (USA) during the second quarter of a game against the Denver Nuggets (USA) on 15 April 1984.
