Youngest ocean

Of the major oceans of the world, the Southern Ocean (also known as the Antarctic Ocean and the South Polar Ocean) is the youngest. It formed when Antarctica split away from Australia and South America around 30 million years ago, also forming the Drake Passage in the process.
