Originally a 1970s arcade hit, Snake is now the most played videogame ever, thanks to its incorporation into successive Nokia mobile phone handsets since 1998. Estimates put the total number of people who have played it at over 1 billion. Since the first version on the Nokia 6110, there have been many updates, the latest being Snakes Subsonic, released in May 2008 for the second-generation N-Gage.
