The fewest points scored in a half by a team is 16 by the New Orleans Hornets in the second half of their 89-67 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers (both USA)on 1 March 2006.

The Hornets' output was the lowest one-half total for an NBA team since the 24-second shot clock was instituted in 1954.
