Most goals in a single football (soccer) UEFA European Championships

- Who
- Michel Platini
- When
- 27 June 1984
The most goals scord by an individual player in a single UEFA European Championships finals tournament is nine by Michel Platini (France) in France from 12 -27 June 1984.
This is also the record for the most goals scored in all UEFA European Championships tournaments. Michel Platini scored two hat-tricks in successive group games against Belgium and Yugoslavia after scoring the only goal in France's opening game against Denmark. Platini then scored the winning goal against Portugal in extra time in the semi-finals before scoring the first goal in France's 2-0 victory against Spain in the final. Interestingly only one of Platini's goals were scored in the 1st half and only one goal was scored from the penalty spot.
