The earliest video games console to support Blu-Ray technology was the PlayStation 3. Blu-ray uses a blue laser that has a shorter wavelength than conventional disks and readers, allowing more data to be stored. A single-layer Blu-ray can hold 25 GB while a double-layer disk can hold 50GB.
