Jimmy Connors (USA) won a record 109 singles titles during his professional tennis career (1972-96). This total includes eight Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open (1974), Wimbledon (1974 and 1982) and the US Open (1974, 1976, 1978 and 1982-83), and the ATP Finals (then the Masters Grand Prix) in 1977. As of 4 February 2021, Roger Federer (103) was the closest to matching Connors’ 109 titles, and the only other man to win as many as 100 career singles titles.

In 1974, Connors won 15 titles on the ATP Tour, including his three Grand Slams. It was his most successful year in terms of tournament wins, although he also won 12 trophies in 1976, 11 in 1973 and 10 in 1978.

In singles competition, Connors won 1,274 of his 1,557 matches and played in 164 finals. All three figures were open era records as of 4 February 2021.
