The most WWE Women's Championships won by an individual is eight by American wrestler Mary Lillian Ellison (1923–2007), who fought under several ring names including The Fabulous Moolah and The Spider Lady, between 1956 and 1999.
Just behind The Fabulous Moolah is Canadian wrestler Trish Stratus, who won seven WWE Women's Championships between 2001 and 2006.
Starting in 1956, the WWE Women's Championship was the longest-running pro WWE tournament until it was retired in 2010, replaced by the WWE Divas Championship.
