The most cyclo-cross World Championships won by a woman is six, by Marianne Vos (Netherlands) in 2006 and 2009–2013. The championships were instituted in 2000.
Aged just 26, the Dutch cyclist has an already formidable medal haul in various cycling disciplines, while away from cyclocross she has won Olympic gold at both the Beijing and London games.
