The largest engine installed in any car currently in series production is the 8.390-litre (512-cu-in) V10 engine of the 2014 SRT Viper sports car from North America. Its engine produces 477 kW (640 hp) of power and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque (the most torque of any non-turbocharged and non-supercharged engine in the world). Manufacturer Dodge claims the SRT Viper can reach 96.5 km/h (60 mph) from rest in about 3.3 seconds.
The engine is larger in capacity than the world’s fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron’s 8.0-litre W16 engine (two V8s mounted back to back).
