According to sales figures of confectionary, no other country purchased more chocolate in 2014 than Switzerland, with an average of 9.2 kilograms (20 pounds 4.5 ounces) bought on average by each citizen over the course of the year.

This put Switzerland ahead of Germany on 8.3 kilograms (18 pounds 4.7 ounces) and Austria on 7.8 kilograms (17 pounds 3.1 ounces).
