To be able to cover all angles of the 236.22 m (775 ft) set of the film Titanic (USA 1997), an Akela Crane with a normal reach of 24.38 m (80 ft) was adapted to have an expanded reach of almost 60.96 m (200 ft). A gyro-stabilized camera was then mounted on the crane basket and the crane was able to move on tracks along the side of the ship in the water tank.
