The artwork is double-sided. One side, entitled "HO CHI MINH PROCLAIMING THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE" recreates historic image of September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence. The image of swallows flying in a radiant sky blends harmoniously with the joyful spirit of the people, welcoming a new era and a hopeful future. The other side, "THE NATION’S SPRING," depicts the and excitement of victory shine through the bright sky of the Fatherland. People enthusiastically celebrate, holding festivals to honor peace and the radiant future that awaits. The image of a bridge connecting architectural landmarks from North to South symbolizes the unity of the country and its people.
