The world's largest wooden Christian church is the Kerimäki church in Kerimäki, Finland. It measures: 45 m (147 ft 7 in) long, 42 m (137 ft 9 in) wide and 27 m (88 ft 6 in) high. Its dome is 37 m (121 ft 4 in) high. The seating capacity is 3,000, whereas standing capacity is 5,000 people.
The church was designed by Anders Fredrik Granstedt and took 3 years to build being completed on 25 September 1847.
The church is only used in summer time and on Christmas morning because it is not heated.
