The fastest 1 km on a penny farthing with no hands (female) is 2 minutes 11.998 seconds, achieved by Evi Dumon (Belgium) at the Herne Hill Velodrome in London, UK, on 11 October 2024.
Dumon broke the record as part of the Penny Farthing Extravaganza Weekend over the course of which 12 records were set. She also achieved the fastest speed on a penny farthing (female) – 38.09 km/h (23.67 mph) – on 12 October.
The male no-handed 1 km was also set on 11 October by Neil Laughton (UK), with a time of 2 minutes 7.294 seconds.
