On 17 April 2001, James David (USA) performed a continuous skid on his bicycle measuring 130 m ( 425 ft 3 in) on a flat surface at the Spokane Raceway Park, Washington, USA. James rode a standard bicycle with standard pneumatic tires along a flat surface.  Once he was up to an appropriate speed he applied his brakes and skidded.  The measurement was taken from the back tire and from the point he applied his brakes to the point he stopped skidding.
