Hannah is a researcher for Newcastle University working for the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Drug Discovery Unit and therefore sees first hand both the importance of the research that is undertaken every day funded through CRUK and the importance of the fundraising carried out by the charity. Her research group does a lot of fundraising every year, including taking part in the Great North Run. As a keen runner she wanted to both add a challenge to my run to inspire fundraising and to raise awareness of the great research going on in Newcastle.
