The youngest winner of the Mr Olympia bodybuilding contest is Arnold Schwarzenegger (USA, b. Austria; 30 July 1947), who was 23 years 65 days old when he won his first Mr Olympia title on 3 October 1970.
Schwarzenegger dominated the contest in the 1970s, winning every year from 1970 to 1975, when he retired from competitive bodybuilding. During this time, the competition received little mainstream press notice, and the prize money was only $1,000, which was little more than what would have been needed to cover travel expenses.
Schwarzenegger returned from retirement in 1980 to win one more time.
