Oldest undiscovered twin

Sanju Bhagat from Nagpur, India, lived for 36 years with a grossly distended stomach that defied any explanation by doctors. In June 1999, his condition &#173; a suspected tumour &#173; became a medical emergency, as his enlarged abdomen began to crush his diaphragm and leave him breathless. Upon operating, Dr Ajay Mehta of Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, encountered the foetus of Bhagat's unborn twin, which had continued to grow parasitically inside his abdomen, attached directly to his blood supply. The twin weighed 4 kg (9 lb), of which 1 kg (2 lb) was hair.<br />
