Ralph Hildebrand and Dave Phillips (Canada) water-skied for 56 hr 35 min 3 sec around Indian Arm, Rocky Point, British Columbia, Canada. They completed their feat on 12 June 1994 after having covered a distance of 2,152.3 km (1,337.46 miles) at an average speed of 38 km/h (23 mph). The attempt began at 9.30 am on Friday and finshed at 5.30 pm on Sunday 12 June 1994. Whilst skiing at night infrared binoculars and spotlights were used. Ralph says that the most difficult part about setting the water-skiing marathon apart from his leg swelling up was, Being a junk food junkie one of the hardest things was eating the unsalted, sugarless mush that passed as our nutrition during the record attempt.  David is a health food nut and would not eat a doughnut regardless of how much sugar was on it. This, like quantum physics, is beyond me.
