According to Fox News, in 2008 a Russian billionaire made history by purchasing the most expensive home on earth - Villa Leopolda - for about $750 million. Villa Leopolda is a villa on the French Riviera in the town of Villefrance-sur-Mer. It has 19 bedrooms, two guest houses, a swimming pool and more than 20 acres of land. King Leopold II of Belgium, who named the estate after himself, built it in 1902.
