The most goals scored by a goalkeeper in one game is three and was achieved by José Luis Chilavert (Paraguay) for Vélez Sarsfield in their 6-1 defeat of Ferro Carril Oeste in the Argentine Primera División, on 28 November 1999.
Chilavert played an international tournament (Supercopa 96) in 1996 in which he finished as Vélez Sarsfield's top scorer.
All three goals were penalty kicks.
