The first no-hit completion of the seven-game "SoulsBorneKiroRing" series was achieved by BushidoYu (Spain) on 13 September 2022 in a livestream broadcast on Twitch. Dubbed “The God Run 3”, this challenge involves completing all seven notoriously hard FromSoftware-developed Souls-style games back-to-back without taking a single hit.
BushidoYu started his run with samurai action game Sekiro, before moving on to Bloodborne and then the first Souls game, Demon’s Souls. Then came Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 3. FromSoftware’s latest release Elden Ring was last.
Achieving legendary status within the “no-hit” video game community with the last hit on the final boss in Elden Ring, an emotional BushidoYu thanked his followers for their support.
Manchester-based Twitch streamer The Happy Hob invented the highly competitive God Run challenge, and was first to complete its initial incarnation (finishing all five “SoulsBorne” games without taking a hit) back in 2019. A year later, French streamer Dobbysama became the first to complete God Run 2, adding Sekiro to the SoulsBorne mix.
