Despite her record-breaking time, Enders actually lost the race to teammate Bo Butner on a holeshot (i.e., thanks to his faster reaction time).
Although the National Hot Rod Association shortened the length of Top Fuel and Funny Car runs to 1,000 ft (305 m) in 2008 following a fatal crash involving driver Scott Kalitta, Pro Stock cars still race over the traditional quarter-mile (440-yd; 402-m) distance.
