Starting and ending in the town of Silverton, Colorado, the Hardrock 100 is an 102.5-mile trek through the roads and dirt trails of the San Juan Range, involving a total climb of 33,197 feet and 33,197 feet of descent. The high altitude and rugged terrain make it one of the toughest ultramarathons on Earth. The course is run clockwise and counter-clockwise, alternating each year. In 2024, Ludovic Pommeret broke the previous course record by more than three minutes.
