Most expensive scooter in production

The Yamaha XP500 Tmax is the most expensive production scooter currently available with an on the road price of £6,199 ($8,958). The Tmax 500 has a dry weight of 197kg and has a 44 bhp 500 cc twin-cylinder four-stroke engine hung from a tubular diamond-type steel frame.  The disc brakes, a 282 mm rotor gripped by a twin piston caliper at the front and 267 mm at the rear, are the largest ever fitted to a scooter.  The engine has the largest capacity of any production scooter and at 44 bhp is also the most powerful engine ever for a production scooter with a top speed of about 105 mph.
