The largest prize in the world of bodybuilding is that attached to the title of Mr Olympia, which brought with it a $400,000 (£318,253) cash reward at the 2023 competition, held between 2 and 5 November 2023. Derek Lunsford (USA) won this lump sum.
The total prize pool for the event, which was divided between the top five finishers in each of the 11 categories, was $1.6 million.
The winners each received a trophy in the form of a bronze statuette of bodybuilding pioneer Eugen Sandow (Germany). They are modelled on the trophies given out at the first bodybuilding competition in 1901.
