The greatest distance ever covered by a frog in a triple jump is 10.3 m (33 ft 9 in) – about half the length of a standard basketball court! The jump was accomplished by South African sharp-nosed frog (Ptychadena oxyrhynchus) named Santjie at a frog Derby held at Lurula Natal Spa, Petersburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, on 21 May 1977. Competition frog jumps are invariably the aggregate of three consecutive leaps.
