The fastest person to swim around Hong Kong Island is Alex Fong Lik-sun (China), who completed the 45-kilometre (28-mile) swim in 10 hours 43 minutes 6 seconds on 5 November 2019. This record was verified by officials from HK360Swim.
As part of his HK360 swim, the former Olympic swimmer (who has also become a successful actor and singer) raised more than HK$7 million ($893,000; £691,000) for A Drop of Life, a charity (for which he is an ambassador), which has a mission to bring clean drinking water to communities in China, Nepal and Cambodia.
