The largest free-standing scaffolding structure was had a volume of 195,600 m³ (6,417,000 ft³) and was 58.5 m (192 ft) high. It was erected by SGB Major Projects of Lingfield, Surrey, UK, to allow construction of the Eden Project at St. Austell, Cornwall, England, in December 1999.
